Another award for ETEC

iF material award for ETEC’s compact tube bend 

ETEC has succeeded in being awarded again for a new product: the jury decided to give the iF material award to the compact bend made by ETEC. The awards ceremony and honours will take place on the first day of the exhibition (April 21, 2008). Whether ETEC’s compact tube bend will even be awarded with the golden award will not be announced earlier than April 21. 

Significant criteria for the jury to award a product with the iF material award are innovation, creativity, engineering stage and its potential for development. For the first time, ETEC’s compact tube bend allows for installing high-tech wear protection liners even into piping systems with extremely narrow bends, and in this way, radiuses with less than 500 mm are no longer inconceivable.  

Already in 2007, ETEC was honoured with the iF material award for a further innovative product – the ETEC ceramic track system for ski-jumping hills. 

iF has become internationally renowned by means of the “iF design award” which has been organised since 1954 on a yearly basis. It is considered to be one of the most important design competitions worldwide. Whoever is awarded the coveted iF label either in the range of “iF product design award”, “iF communication design award” or “iF material award” by the professional and international jury, is considered to belong to the best ones in his particular line of business.
